CitizenGO will deliver more than 131,000 signatures in the embassy of Nigeria to ask the president to help liberate the Christian girl Leah Sharibu

-On 7th September 200 days will have passed since she was kidnapped by Boko Haram together with another 110 girls.

-The action, which forms a part of the campaign #FreedomForSharibu, will occur simultaneously in several capitals of the world. Leah has refused to renounce her Christian faith and because of this (while her classmates have been liberated) she continues to be held captive by an Islamic terrorist group.

LONDON, 6th SEPTEMBER 2018. - This Friday, 7th September at 15:00, CitizenGO will deliver the signatures of more than 131,000 citizens from across the globe to the embassy of Nigeria in London. CitizenGO is demanding the liberation of the young woman Leah Sharibu, kidnapped from her village in Nigeria and held captive for 200 days by Islamic group Boko Haram, together with more than one hundred girls (who have since been liberated).


CitizenGO's campaign to release Leah Sharibu.


The campaign requests the president of the Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, to redouble the efforts to achieve the liberation of this Christian young woman. Furthermore it asks for guarantees that the Christians in Nigeria do not suffer discrimination and violence under Islamic law in the northern states of Nigeria.
