'Never doubt a small group of reflective and compromising citizens can change the world'. (Margaret Mead) 'Action has never worried me, only inaction'. ( Winston Churchill) 'Recently they denied in the United States a condemned to death the last cigarette because prison's rules had changed and smoking was forbidden. Sara and I thought it was a dirty trick and even Pitagorin said it was a nonsense. Sara proposed to write a letter to that prison's governor signed by all the class, or to the state governor or to whom it may concern. She went to the United States Embassy to ask for information but got there outside the schedule of attention to the public and afterwards she forgot: She was already worried because of other problems and unfairness. Sara was a little fickle, really. At heart, well thought, all principles are good, or they have possibilities at least, except for the precocious disasters'. ( Martin Casariego). 'One of the first and most important causes of the harm that affects homeland consist in the independence of the neutral mass... the truth is this one: the vast majority of the spanish nation is abstained, it doesn't take part in anything concerning the public thing... the government doesn't communicates with the people. This is the regime old excuse. The mass who lives cut off from everything has to be attracted. (Antonio Maura).

Why HazteOir? It results familiar to you the following story?: You're reading the newspaper or hearing the news, when you meet up with a story about someone who is doing or saying something you do not like. That activist, generally passive, lives in you, blows up and cries out: it cannot continue like this! I have to do something!' Unfortunately, the story ends at this point, because a) it is virtually impossible to get in touch with that politician or journalist who could have done something for you; or b) if you could do it, he would really pay attention to you? Hazte Oir was founded by a group of friends who wanted to express -make heard- their point of view, but did not know exactly whom to talk with. Citizens that, like you and millions of spaniards, have gotten to disconnect from our government. However, we had some idea to try to solve this problem. We understood internet like the perfect vehicle to return to connect people with their politicians. That is the way we created HazteOir.org. HazteOir.org is not only the corner where you can get information about current political affairs, or the laws our parliament carries out. It is also the place where you can act before them. All citizens with access to internet can, from now on, take part in our surveys on-line or in the political parties forums, send messages to politicians and journalists, remit with only a 'click' a letter to the 120 most important media in Spain, or sign a manifesto in aid of needed. This and much more is HazteOir.org. Hazte Oir.

What do we want? Hazte Oir assumes like mission to promote the citizens participation in politics. We believe this is the better way to recover the dignity of the public thing and to make our democracy become something real -participant- during the four years that pass between each one of the elections. We believe that society is previous to the state that politics is essentially service vocation, that leaders must listen the governed ones. From a christian conception of mankind and society, we state the human being dignity and the importance of values such as liberty, justice and solidarity. We want to contribute for the construction of a fair society in favour of people integral accomplishment. Our projects are destined to state and promote (i) the political participation, (ii) the human dignity and (iii) the value of life.
